Audiotales 1951 – The Ultimate Mastering Equalizer
The Audiotales 1951 Equalizer is a handcrafted, all-tube mastering EQ designed for uncompromising sonic shaping and ultimate musicality. Built around rare vintage components and featuring an intuitive front panel layout, the 1951 combines precision engineering with bold analog character.
Housed in a stunning 3U chassis, the 1951 features original Altec & Lansing input transformers and Jensen 123-S/A output transformers—both from original last stock—paired with NOS Sylvania 6SL7 WGT and 6922 tubes to deliver a rich, harmonically complex signal path that mastering engineers dream of.
The Audiotales 1951 is also the first analog equalizer switchable between a Shelf and Baxandall curve, giving you flexible tone-sculpting options in a single unit. Two proprietary features—BARYTONE and AIRCAP—introduce entirely new tonal dimensions, enhancing low-end weight and high-end air without compromising detail.
With precise output volume control, newly added 3 dB/oct high cut and 6 dB/oct low cut filters, and individual band bypass switches, the 1951 offers full mastering-grade control. The unit also includes a hardwired master bypass, allowing for seamless A/B comparison.
