Compact 3-Way Design for Professional Workflows
Inspired by the award-winning Pulsar, the Ganymede mkII features a compact yet powerful 3-way coaxial design. It pairs a precision 7-inch low-frequency driver with a 5.5-inch / 1-inch coaxial midrange and tweeter system. This architecture ensures seamless frequency integration, a wide sweet spot, and pinpoint imaging, making it ideal for both stereo and multichannel reference monitoring.
Custom SEAS Drivers and TeXtreme Diaphragms
Developed in collaboration with SEAS and Composite Sound, the Ganymede mkII's transducers incorporate Metamodal TeXtreme diaphragms—ultralight, ultra-stiff carbon materials that eliminate resonance and enhance detail. The coaxial driver configuration preserves time alignment and phase coherence across the entire frequency range.
Sealed Valchromat Enclosures and Hypex Ncore Amplifiers
The sealed Valchromat cabinet is acoustically inert and internally braced, eliminating port noise and ensuring tight, accurate low-frequency performance. Each monitor features Hypex Ncore Class-D amplifiers, offering ultra-low distortion and clean, efficient power tailored to each driver.
Reference-Grade Conversion and DSP
Built around AKM AK5572EN and AK4493EQ converters, the Ganymede mkII offers 123 dBA signal-to-noise ratio and pristine transparency. A 5th-generation SHARC+ AD21565 DSP provides ultra-fast processing, linear phase crossovers, protection limiting, and advanced calibration capabilities. The new DSP architecture offers four times the processing power of previous generations, delivering smooth impulse response and unmatched fidelity.
Precision Calibration and Testing
Each Ganymede mkII is individually calibrated using Ex Machina’s proprietary software and Brooklyn’s only hemi-anechoic chamber. The system maintains ±15° phase linearity down to 20 Hz and ±5° from 80 Hz to 30 kHz, and cleanly reproduces square waves and single-cycle tone bursts, as verified with Audio Precision 555b testing.
