Pro-MB takes a unique approach by allowing you to create individual bands directly at the frequency ranges you want to target, rather than using traditional crossovers. This intuitive band creation process is visualized in the interactive multiband display, which clearly shows the untouched portions of the spectrum. If desired, you can easily snap bands together to recreate a traditional crossover system.
One of the standout features of Pro-MB is its Dynamic Phase processing mode. This mode maintains a frequency response similar to traditional multiband processing but avoids introducing latency, pre-ringing, or significant phase changes when the gain is adjusted. This results in a transparent and natural-sounding dynamics processing experience. Additionally, Pro-MB offers a Linear Phase mode for artifact-free processing and a Minimum Phase mode for a more traditional approach.
With up to six processing bands, Pro-MB handles a wide range of dynamics processing tasks, including transparent compression, limiting, expansion, upward compression, and punchy gating. Each band is fully customizable, allowing you to adjust parameters such as threshold, range, attack, release, output gain, ratio, knee shape, lookahead, stereo linking, mid/side processing, external side chain input, and triggering on a separate frequency range. The crossover slope steepness can be freely adjusted between 6 dB/oct and 48 dB/oct, providing precise control over the band separation.
Pro-MB features intelligent and frequency-dependent attack and release curves, ensuring optimal processing for different program material. The plug-in offers a global dry/wet mix control to easily scale the overall effect. The beautiful Retina interface is designed for optimal workflow, and the real-time frequency analyzer provides accurate and smooth visual feedback with pre- and post-processing options, as well as a freeze feature to analyze specific sections of the audio.
