This two channel High Voltage Solid State preamp has the power and depth that can compete with the best ones out there with simple yet useful features that keep the integrity of the sound. We kept the control names "Easy" so you can just focus on capturing the moment.
Born from Maor Appelbaum's personal creative mastering concepts and built with Hendy Amps' impeccable skill in creating some of today's most unique analog processors, THE STEAMER is a creative and versatile tool for the current Composer/Producer/Engineer/Mixer and Mastering Engineer.
FEATURES
GAIN: The control offers plenty of pristine gain and ensures that even mics that need a lot of push will enjoy what this unit can do for them.
TRIM: This control adjusts the output level to fit the next hardware unit in the chain and to avoid clipping in the converter. In addition, pushing Gain while dropping Trim allows for a significant amount of coloration and overdrive when desired.
48Volt Phantom Power: Supplies 48Volts DC for microphones, external DI boxes and other devices that require external power.
PAD: This switch engages a 20db Pad to attenuate the input level in the event that the incoming signal from the mic or the DI is hitting the preamp too hard.
LOW CUT: This switch engages a Hi-Pass Filter that will cut the low frequencies from entering the preamp stage, cleaning up the signal and can give the user more headoom and clarity in the vocal or instrument recordings.
HIGH CUT: This switch engages a Low-Pass Filter that will cut the High frequencies so it will clean up the signal from the high end and will provide warmth and give you more concise sound and clarity in the vocal or instrument recordings.
Both Low Cut and High Cut switches may be employed simultaneously for a mid- focused sound.
DI INPUT: Designed to accept Instrument Level signals and is awesome for Bass Guitars, Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars, Synths and any other instrument that has an unbalanced audio output.
LINE LEVEL: This switch allows you to bring audio in at line level for processing as THE STEAMER will add a nice warmth and impact from the preamp section. This can also be used to sweeten your instrument busses, groups, mixbus, or mastering bus.
