The HG-2 features a 6U8A Pentode tube stage and a Triode stage for the main signal path, while a parallel signal path utilizes a set of 12AT7 tubes for harmonics and saturation. The 3-way "Freq. Select" switch allows for frequency content selection, while the "saturation" knob controls how much processed signal is fed into the main signal. An "air" switch adds a subtle top-end lift, and the "alt" tube button switches between two differently voiced 12AT7 tubes for unique saturation options.
