TEQ Mastering EQ, Analog Mix Bus Equalizer with M/S Processing
The TEQ is a high precision analog mastering EQ designed for mix bus processing, mastering engineers, and high end studio workflows. Built around a classic Baxandall circuit, the TEQ delivers smooth, musical tone shaping with exceptional transparency, making it ideal for stereo bus EQ, mastering chains, and critical listening environments.
With stepped controls, mid side processing, and ultra fine gain resolution, the TEQ offers surgical accuracy combined with analog warmth.
Key Features of the TEQ Mastering Equalizer
• Dual band analog EQ with 10 selectable frequencies per band
• Switchable peak and shelving modes on both bands
• Ultra precise gain control with 0.25 dB step resolution
• Extended boost and cut range up to plus minus 8 dB
• Integrated high pass filter and low pass filter with 6 frequencies each
• Full mid side processing for independent control of mid and side signals
• Cue monitoring for left right or mid side auditioning
• Fully stepped rotary controls for recall and mastering precision
Classic Baxandall EQ Design for Musical Tone Shaping
The TEQ is based on the legendary Baxandall EQ design from the 1950s, widely respected for its smooth, natural response. With a low Q of 0.5, the TEQ is perfect for gentle tonal shaping, enhancing clarity, and refining balance without introducing harshness.
The low frequency band covers 30 Hz to 720 Hz, while the high frequency band spans 1 kHz to 24 kHz. Each band can be switched between shelving and peak modes, allowing flexible control over the tonal character of your mix or master.
Precision Gain Control with Extended Range
Gain adjustment starts with ultra fine 0.25 dB steps up to 1 dB, followed by 0.5 dB increments up to 4 dB. For more aggressive processing, the Ex switch extends the range up to plus minus 8 dB, giving engineers full control from subtle mastering moves to more pronounced EQ shaping.
High Pass and Low Pass Filters for Clean Mixes
The built in high pass filter removes unwanted low end rumble, mud, and excessive bass buildup, while the low pass filter smooths harsh high frequencies and improves overall balance.
HPF frequencies: 20 Hz, 25 Hz, 30 Hz, 40 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz
LPF frequencies: 12 kHz, 14 kHz, 16 kHz, 18 kHz, 22 kHz, 27 kHz
Both filters feature 12 dB per octave slopes and are optimized for transparent, musical filtering.
Advanced M/S Processing for Mastering Engineers
The integrated mid side function allows independent EQ of the center and stereo information, enabling precise control over width, depth, and imaging.
With the dedicated cue function, users can monitor left, right, mid, or side channels individually, ensuring accurate adjustments during mastering and mix bus processing.
