Wolff Audio ProPatch 128R Analogue Patchbay with Software Control

The Wolff Audio ProPatch 128R is a high-end, software-controlled analogue patchbay designed for professional audio studios that require absolute signal transparency, advanced routing flexibility, and long-term reliability. It delivers relay-based passive signal switching, silent fanless operation, extensive connectivity, scalable system expansion, and full software control without generating heat or compromising audio quality.

Pure Analogue Signal Path with Relay-Based Routing

The ProPatch 128R uses a large matrix of high-quality relays to maintain a signal path that is as transparent as a direct cable connection. There are no FET switches, no gain stages, and no active electronics in the audio path.

This design preserves the original tone, dynamics, and detail of every signal, making it ideal for critical recording, mixing, mastering, and post-production environments where audio integrity is essential.

Advanced Software Control for Complex Routing

Routing and configuration are managed through an intuitive application for Windows, macOS, and iPadOS. Engineers can build complex signal chains including mults, mono to stereo routing, hardware inserts, processing chains, and A and B comparison groups.

All configurations can be saved and recalled instantly, allowing complete session recall and consistent workflows. External hardware processors can be arranged and managed like software plugins, using drag and drop routing that can be edited, auditioned, and recalled at any time.

Telecom-Grade Relay Technology for Long-Term Reliability

The ProPatch 128R uses industrial relay technology rated for millions of switching cycles, ensuring dependable operation over many years of continuous studio use.

The passive signal path supports microphone level, line level, phantom power, control voltage, digital audio, and MIDI without degradation. Latching relays retain the last routing state even during power loss, allowing the system to resume operation instantly when power is restored.

Real-Time Control and Network Connectivity

Routing changes are confirmed by the audible click of physical relays, providing immediate operational feedback. The control application connects via USB C, Ethernet, or WiFi for real-time routing changes, preset management, and configuration storage.

On power up, the ProPatch 128R automatically restores the last used routing setup, minimizing downtime and keeping studio sessions moving efficiently.

Extensive I O and Modular Expansion

The rear panel provides DB25 connectors delivering 48 channels of analogue input and output. The front panel includes:

  • 16 TT input and output pairs

  • 4 XLR TRS combo connectors

  • 4 TRS connectors

This configuration allows direct integration with existing TT patchbay systems, fast connection of temporary equipment, and expansion into large routing systems by linking multiple ProPatch units together.

Silent Rack Integration and Workflow Optimization

Housed in a single rack unit, the ProPatch 128R operates silently without cooling fans and produces no excess heat. It can replace traditional TT patchbays while adding full software control and instant recall.

Front panel TT connections allow seamless integration with large studio patch systems, making the ProPatch 128R suitable for broadcast facilities, commercial studios, post-production houses, and high-end production environments that require advanced routing without workflow interruptions.

A New Standard for Professional Analogue Patchbays
