Drawing inspiration from the revered Neumann U87 and AKG C414, the BeesNeez Isobel embodies a balanced and refined sound signature. Crafted entirely in Australia, the Isobel features the BeesNeez K6 [K67] microphone capsule, renowned for its low self-noise and rapid transient response.
Circuit Design:
The Isobel Fet harnesses the BeesNeez K6 microphone capsule, meticulously replicated from the dual backplate K67 design. Utilizing high-quality 6-micron DuPont mylar personally framed, sputtered, tuned, and fixed to the backplate, the Isobel ensures pristine sound capture.
Sonic Characteristics:
In contrast to the prevalent harsh and gritty tones found in many modern microphones, the Isobel Fet delivers detailed mids and highs without any unwanted grit. This superior sonic performance is attributed to the exceptional quality materials and manufacturing techniques employed, culminating in a remarkably affordable microphone that rivals models several times its price.
Build Quality:
Constructed from a single piece of cold-formed 380 grade brass tube, the Isobel boasts exceptional rejection and shielding, thanks to its high copper content. Following precision machining, the body undergoes powder coating for durability. The base, crafted from 380 grade brass, is meticulously formed in our own 8-axis CNC turning center. Integration of the head grille within the body tube, achieved through strategic window cutting, ensures seamless design and robust construction.
