Completely accurate music reproduction requires more than a thoroughly optimized speaker. It requires a speaker that works together with the acoustics of the listening room.

The 8c is more than just a loudspeaker. It is a unique acoustic concept, because its revolutionary design provides constant directivity from 100 Hz upwards. As a result, the 8c is above and beyond any other system in terms of neutrality, precision, and in-room tonal balance.

Accurate.

The 8c represents our commitment to accuracy and clarity. With its constant directivity from 100Hz upwards and +/-0.5dB frequency response from 35Hz upwards, music can now be experienced exactly as it was intended. Nothing is added, nothing left out.

Experience the sensation of truly accurate music reproduction, hear truth in audio like never before.

Adaptive.

Tune the system to the room, not the room to the system. 8c’s adapt to the room they are in and can be placed (very) close to room boundaries without losing performance.

To achieve this, 8c’s combine a proprietary waveguide tweeter with an acoustic cardioid midrange, boundary-coupled bass drivers and active room matching. The result: superb acoustical reproduction in any room.

All-in-one.

Besides drivers, the 8c’s small footprint presence holds high-end DACs, amps, subwoofers and a DSP. The system also comes with room matching and streaming capabilities out-of-the-box.

All components match each other perfectly and together deliver a “big sound” at 106 dB continuously from 35 Hz upwards, while keeping the signal-to-noise ratio very high.

Solid wood.

The 8c’s outer cabinet is crafted from 20 mm thick solid oak panels. Every oak panel is unique and therefore each 8c has its own unique appearance. During the manufacturing process, we match cabinet pairs, to ensure 8c’s of a pair have a similar look. However, no two 8c’s look exactly the same. We like our customers to be aware of this before buying.

Internally, the 8c is made out of birch plywood. It is used to create the separate compartments for the drivers and to brace the cabinet, in order to increase the stiffness and strength of the cabinet. This results in an acoustically inert cabinet, which ensures that all you hear is the sound of the loudspeaker drivers.

Solid wood is a living material that continuously changes over time. Under the influence of changes in temperature and humidity, the wood will expand and contract. Hairline cracks are normal with solid wood, and thus to be expected. However, the 8c’s cabinet construction is carefully studied and fine-tuned, in order to avoid breakage as the wood ages.

Intuitive controls.

After the 8c’s are automatically discovered on your LAN, you’ll have full control of settings like gain, distance to front and side walls, updates and many parametric filters. Internet connectivity is not required.

Multi-room streaming.

Besides balanced analogue or AES3 input, you will able in the near future to stream digital music directly to your 8c’s. Setup left and right position using your mobile device and the rest is done automatically.

Within your LAN, 8c’s can be grouped into multiple zones. Perfectly synchronized music can then be played effortlessly in those zones.

Effortless updates.

Automatic updates can keep your 8c’s up-to-date with industry standards and trends. After extensive testing periods, new firmware versions are made available from our cloud based software platform. If so desired and set up, 8c’s will download and install these updates automatically, adding new features overnight.

8c studio.

The 8c studio shares the same dimensions, components and specs as the 8c but is built into a MDF wood based cabinet as opposed to our solid oak 8c cabinets. To clearly distinguish between the two products the 8c studio will besides the different cabinet material have to do without streaming audio over ethernet capabilities.

The 8c studio will be able to handle 192 kHz on the AES/EBU input similar to the 8c.

We have incorporated M10 threads in the sides of the 8c studio to cope with the demand of being able to fly or pole mount the cabinets for surround, Dolby Atmos and similar install applications.
U bracket and accessories to deal with the above will become available shortly. For the time being the 8c studio will be made in black only.
