The EVE Audio EXO 28 is an active 2-way studio monitor and the largest model in the EXO Series. Designed for large studios, immersive productions and high-end mastering suites, the EXO 28 is engineered for outstanding clarity, dynamics and spatial accuracy in professional audio environments. Its controlled dispersion characteristics also make it perfectly suited for immersive setups such as Dolby Atmos, where stable imaging and precise spatial placement are essential.
At the heart of the EXO 28 is EVE Audio’s Precision AirMotion Tweeter, combined with Guided Directivity Control waveguide technology. This advanced tweeter and waveguide design provides clean, wide-ranging dispersion, an ultra-wide sweet spot, perfect stereo imaging and homogenous dispersion, even at high listening levels and in acoustically complex environments. The ultra-lightweight polyamide AMT delivers lightning-fast transient response, high efficiency and crystal-clear high-frequency reproduction with minimal distortion.
The powerful 8 inch CAL woofer uses a coated aluminum diaphragm with a resonance-damped dust cap and refined magnet system. It delivers ultra-deep bass, outstanding transient response and impressive dynamics, all precisely controlled by cutting-edge DSP technology. The woofer provides accurate, dynamic playback with exceptionally low distortion.
The EXO 28 is built around an airflow-optimized Low Diffraction Enclosure. The specially shaped enclosure minimizes unwanted edge reflections and supports a neutral, spatially detailed soundstage, making it ideal for critical work in mixing and mastering. Optimized rear-facing bass reflex ports improve airflow, extend low-frequency response and effectively reduce port noise.
For modern studio workflows, the EXO 28 offers EVE Origin software control. EVE Origin allows real-time adjustment of individual monitors to the room, with access to filters, EQ, delay and fine settings from the listening position. This gives precise control over multi-channel systems and supports accurate placement of sound sources in immersive setups such as Dolby Atmos.
A rear-mounted OLED display and integrated SMART Control Knob provide intuitive access to essential system parameters, including output level, room adaptation filters and input source selection. The integrated Ethernet connection enables software control, precise calibration and future-ready firmware updates. Wake-on-Signal, Wake-on-LAN and adjustable automatic standby mode help the EXO 28 integrate smoothly into professional monitoring workflows.
The illuminated EVE Audio logo on the front panel functions as a multi-color status indicator. It provides real-time feedback on operating conditions such as overload protection, firmware update progress and other system states. During normal operation, the logo emits a warm white glow, and the brightness can be continuously dimmed from 0% to 100%.
For flexible installation, the EXO 28 includes four M6 threaded mounting points on the bottom of the enclosure with a 50.8 x 107.9 mm mounting hole pattern, compatible with K&M 24352 and K&M 24354.
