The EVE Audio SC305 is an active 3-way nearfield studio monitor that combines the advantages of a professional 3-way monitoring solution with a compact cabinet design. Carefully designed to work equally well in stereo and surround setups, the SC305 also works perfectly as a center channel.
Its 3-way design uses three different amplifiers to deliver efficient, dynamic and low-noise sound reproduction. One of the 5 inch woofers operates up to 350 Hz as a bass woofer, while the second 5 inch woofer works as a bass-midrange driver up to the 3000 Hz crossover frequency. This even distribution of frequencies reduces the physical workload of each woofer, helping to improve efficiency and sound transmission.
Both woofers use EVE Audio’s proprietary 5 inch SilverCone design with a sophisticated low-distortion copper cap magnet system. The use of two woofers simultaneously helps extend the frequency response down to 50 Hz. The SC305 also features the proprietary AMT RS3 tweeter, which uses a bigger front plate and larger internal magnet to drive the AMT tweeter with greater efficiency.
The SC305 offers high-resolution DSP electronics for precise room adaptation. Filters, volume and monitor adjustments can be controlled directly from the monitor using the SMART-knob. Settings can also be locked to prevent accidental changes, and a DIP switch on the rear allows the room adaptation settings to be temporarily locked.
For flexible positioning, the DSP section assists with selecting left and right speaker orientation, helping to achieve proper symmetry between speakers without needing to physically reposition the monitors. A slow Safe Fade-In volume increase when switching on helps protect ears and equipment, while parameter lock ensures saved settings remain stored even without power.
The SC305 includes balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for convenient integration into professional and project studio setups. It is also available as an All Black Edition.
